Well done to all the Leicestershire Excel County Athletes, this is a great set of results for the season.

County Showcase Event in Loughborough.
10 of our players represented us on the elite netball court of Loughborough Lightning, with the seating down it was all pressure on the athletes as they stepped onto the court.
We had 5 matches to play, 6 minutes each way - with all the Counties placing us as the team to beat after our win at the Sunday tournament in Derby.
Our 1st match was against our local rivals Nottingham, while leading 5-2 at half time we knew Nottingham felt they could anticipate our style of play SO changing our C, WA and GA resulted in a final winning score of 11 - 5.
2nd match against Lincs South was very tight, with two of our players not at 100% match fitness due to illness, Lincs South had the lead at half time 3-2. We made 4 positional changes resulting in a 7 - 5 win to us.
3rd match was against a strong squad from Derby South, keeping the Derby S. coaches and players on their toes 2 positional changes at half time, resulted in a 12-5 win to us.
4th match was against Lincs North, at half time they had the lead 5 - 4, we made 3 positional changes and digging deep our team pushed on to win 11 - 9.
5th and final match was against Derby North, although we were leading 4 -2 at half time, it was a very tight match with every pass being contested - final score was 6 -5 to us!
Well done to Charlotte for being an excellent captain and the players for their commitment to the games. Many thanks also to Feroza for umpiring and Charlotte's Mum for scoring all our matches.
